Super Bowl Props

Sportsbozos has decided on ten of the almost 1,000 Super Bowl prop bets available in Las Vegas and on some sports gambling websites. Some of these are crazy like how long Pink will take to sing the National Anthem (Over/ under 2 minutes flat) or what song Justin Timberlake will sing first during his 13-minute halftime performance. I had Tom Petty at 3-1 to sing American Girl at the Super Bowl XLII Halftime Show so I actually hit one of these after losing on The Stones- Start Me Up (Satisfaction won) and The Who- Baba O’Reilly (Pinball Wizard). Here’s the Bozo Top 10:

10. I kinda like Pink to go over the 120 seconds -110 on the Anthem, I saw her video of “Me and Bobby McGee” and she seemed to drag the song out, she did a good job, but boy did she milk it!

The next four are based on the fact that Belichick usually decides to defer instead of receive the opening kickoff so he can get the ball to begin the second half. The Pats strategy is to score at the end of the half and get the ball to begin the second half, that’s when they takeover the game for good and set the tone for the rest of the game.

9. Eagles to receive the Opening Kickoff -130. As indicated above.

8. Opening Kickoff will NOT be a touchback +175.

Belichick does not like to give the opponents the ball on the 25, he likes Gostkowski to put it near the goal line and let his KR defense stuff the return before they get to the 20.

7. Eagles to punt first -110. Obvious reasons.

6. First play from scrimmage to be a run +105.

I think the Eagles will start off handing the ball to Ajayi as most likely they won’t want to start Foles off with a potential  incomplete pass and put him in a 2^nd and 10 right off the bat.

5. Will there be a successful 4^th down conversion? YES -300.

Now I don’t like laying -300 but with Doug Pederson rolling the dice like he does after his offense gets over midfield, he’ll go for it if it’s 4^th and short. For that matter so will Brady, he’ll lobby Bill for a sneak when they gather some momentum just to put their foot on the Eagles’ throat.

4. Danny Amendola scores a TD– YES +130.

They may take it easy on Gronk and his dizzy head and use him as a decoy to draw coverage away from Amendola. Brady trusts him in the Red Zone.

3. Philly wins the first half, Pats win the game +450. You can hedge this one with the one below.

2. Pats -160 to win the first half. FG with three seconds to go to break a 10-10 tie.

1. Philly +5. Brady storms down the field and hits Amendola with a TD pass with less than a minute on the clock to win 27-23. Pats don’t care about covering the spread, in fact in their Super bowl wins, the largest margin of victory was last years’ (6 points) when they scored a TD in OT over the Falcons.
