Who Shot JR? Cavs Blunder Cost Team Chance at a Victory In Game 1

Any Knicks fan knows JR Smith is a dope and is not surprised at the ending of regulation when JR dribbled out the end of a tie game after grabbing the rebound from George Hill’s missed free throw that would have put Cleveland ahead with four seconds to go. The Cavs lost 124-114 in OT overshadowing LeBron’s amazing 51 point night.

LeBron raised his arms in disbelief and the announcers were flabbergasted as JR got the important rebound and dribbled away the game. Hill missing a foul shot is bad enough but we think a lot of the blame for this debacle should rest on the shoulders of Cav’s coach Tyronn Lue. Lue should have been aware of what was transpiring and the tendency for his knucklehead player to screw up and called time out immediately after seeing the offensive rebound and given his squad the last shot for the win. LeBron was done and couldn’t connect in OT as his team blew what may be their only chance in the finals.

LeBron is likely playing his last three or four games for the Cavs as his frustration with this supporting cast will boil over. As expected, the Warriors took the Game 1 scare seriously and blew out Cleveland by 19 as Steph Curry drained 9 threes to set a playoff finals record to go up 2-0 on the near dead Cavs.

Smith at first said he knew the score, then backtracked an indicated he wasn’t sure. At the bench during the break before OT when LeBron verified the Cavs had a TO left, he went numb in disbelief that no time was called. JR’s brain fart broke LeBron and the team and Coach Lue wasn’t on top of things to bail the team out or even strong enough to get them past what happened, take it from there and dive into OT full force.

Who shot JR? Himself with an assist from his useless Coach. And LeBron and the city of Cleveland were mowed down by stray bullets.
