Sportsbozos take on NFL Week 7- Brees rolls on!

Thursday night’s Inept bowl lived up to its lofty expectations as Arizona’s rookie QB Josh Rosen not only threw two, yes two, Pick 6’s in the first quarter but he fumbled twice thereafter to thoroughly humiliate his team and the few remaining home fans in a 45-10 drubbing to the struggling Denver Broncos. The Cardinals and their guru offensive coordinator Mike McCoy prepared Rosen such that he jumped out to a thrilling 3-35 first half deficit. McCoy has gotta go! Enough was enough and the Bozos tried to locate the American league Championship Series on an unknown cable TV station for a few innings before the Late, Late, Late Show began.

Sunday NFL Football

Patriots @ Bears (+3)

This is an interesting game as we get to see how Mitchy the Kid handles the big leagues. Chicago (3-2) is coming off a heartbreaking loss in OT in Miami last week after a too-conservative run call on 3rd down in OT prior to a missed FG sunk the Bears, who blew a 21-10 lead. Chicago’s running game has taken on some life this season- Tarik Cohen is a breath of fresh windy air for sure. They’ll need a solid ground game to keep the Brady bunch off the field if they expect to secure a home win. The Patriots (4-2) have lost their two road games, to Jacksonville and Detroit (WTF?) and it is very unlikely that New England, who outscored the Chiefs in a thriller last Sunday night, will lose another one at this point. It should come down to coaching and QB experience and preparation, so we’ll take TB-12 and Billy Boy and give the Monsters with Mitchy and Nagy the FG.

Saints @ Ravens (-2 ½)

Another intriguing game that has caught the eye of the Bozo is in Baltimore where the Saints (4-1) visit the Ravens (4-2). Both teams are playing inspired ball and the Saints prolific offense will be tested vs. the league’s best defense. The Ravens are the only team Drew Brees has not beaten in is entire 18 year career. The New Orleans QB passed his way into the record book in week 5 as he is now the all-time leader in passing yards. He has thrown no interceptions in his past 6 games or 232 attempts. He will throw his 500th career TD pass in this game as well. He’s had a bye week to prepare. The Saints have the gifted Alvin Kamara. Yes, the Ravens defense is strong, allowing less than 13 points a game and they have finally found a solid runner in Albert Collins but Flacco is still inconsistent. Brees’ ability to defy the sack and scramble will allow him to find the open receiver when it counts. Bozos are taking the Gumbo gang with the 2 ½ in Maryland. Doesn’t hurt that the Bozos have New Orleans at 10-1 to win the NFC.

In other games of interest, we are taking the on fire Lightning Bolts (-7) to stifle Tennessee by more than a TD.

We are looking for Baker Mayfield to resurrect the Browns (+3 ½) and catch a win against the Groper and his Bucs in the heat in Tampa.

We think The Camster and the Panthers (+4 ½) can battle the Eagles in a close game in Philly so we’re going to grab the points in that one.

Derek Anderson is back baby! After Nathan Peterman’s brilliant pick 6 last week in Houston, Buffalo scoured the local Walmart and found Derek stocking hunting gear and lured him back to lead the Bills in week 7 in Indianapolis. He might be a little rusty, I don’t know. Colts (-7 ½).

The Viking ship sails into New Jersey and puts a hurting on Sam Darnold. Not so fast, Sammy, your time will come. Minnesota has simply too much offensive firepower and just enough defense to capture a much needed road victory. Vikes by (3 ½).

I’ll bet Jacksonville rebounds after blowouts in Dallas and KC. Houston just has too much trouble scoring and hell, even the Giants beat them. Jax (-4 ½) at home is the play.

Dallas (+1) has found a rhythm and Washington is up and down, we’ll take the Cowboys in this game that could go either way.

The Niners played really tough at Lambeau and almost defeated Rodgers and the Pack, CJ Beathard isn’t as bad as people believed. The Rams, although still undefeated are not playing the way they can and are not blowing teams out of late, just squeezing by Denver and Seattle. SF could keep this from being another blowout, and they’re at home so we’ll grab the 10 points.

The Miami Dolphins sure have had an exciting run so far this season, starting off 3-0, winning a crazy one late vs. the Raiders, dropping an almost sure win to the Bengals and coming up with a wild OT victory against the Bears last week. The home fans are sure getting their money’s worth. Detroit and Fat Matty Patty come to South beach off their bye week and a nice win home against the Pack. The Lions can score for sure but let’s not forget, it’s BROCKTOBER! Tannehill is still on the mend and the Fins have found some incredible WR speed with not only Kenny (don’t call me Stephen) Stills but with rising star Albert Wilson. The yards after catch stats for these two dudes are insane! Like most Dolphin games, this one will come down to the Fins making a big stop in the Red Zone in the 4th quarter. Stafford can matriculate down the field all he wants but KIKO will be there to put the late hurt on him! He’ll either dislodge his head from his body or dislodge the ball from his grip.

Miami at the buzzer, take the (+3) in the sun against the silver domers.

KC, in another game devoid of defense, toughs it out against a talented Bengals team and wins, but doesn’t cover the 6 points at Arrowhead.

Monday Night Football

Last and definitely least we have the most pathetic team in the league. The (1-5) Giants. Wow, how bad can a team look? The G-Men travel to Atlanta to face the 2-4 Falcons who also have proved that they too are a bunch of incompetents. Although they rallied to barely beat the Bucs last week, Matt Ryan and company are facing a losing season, mostly due to their defensive mistakes and injuries. Eli and the Giants have taken a load of grief this week, rightfully so, but this is the kind of game where everybody thinks the season is over and you have no chance to win. The Giants have some pride and some amazing athletic talent in Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham and they will find a way to win this one just to spite the NY Post. Last time the Giants headed south to a dome, they came up with a big win vs. the Texans and this one feels the same. Backs against the wall, Eli should quit, season is a bust. Giants put up a convincing win. Such is life in the NFL. Eli stands tall, throws 4 TD passes, 2 to OBJ and the Giants (+4) redeem themselves on pride alone and shoot down the Birds.

Best Bets

Patriots -3 in Chicago

Saints + 2 ½ in Baltimore

14-1 Money Line Parlay: Saints, Dolphins, Giants

Enjoy!
