D day arriving in NFL

The leaves are changed, there is a crisp feel in the air and frost descending upon much the country and we have reached the half way point of the NFL season and this week could prove to be D-Day for NFL coaches. Huge Mistake Jackson we mercifully shown the door this week, which opens the door for several more to get the axe.  In the NFL, it is almost like a game of chicken in which the GMs all wait for the other guy to make the first move so they do not look like they are panicking.

The Jets play the Fins this weekend in a D day game for both coaches. In all likelihood, the loser of this game will get canned. Todd Bowel Movement has been given a rookie stud QB to develop and right now Darnold looks like he is playing on a sandlot and scripting up plays in the dirt. The team also looks like it is not giving its all for the coach. Gase of the fins is in his third year of mediocrity and is once again with out Ryan Tannehill who is injured every year for a variety of issues. Gase may get a reprieve due to injuries but his team started 3-0 and the team had optimism but since then they have been a wreck.

Dirk Diggler Cutter of the Bucs is also on the hot seat. He had a hot QB in Fitzmagic and a 2-1 team and instead of riding the hot hand he put Shamless Winston back in the game. This wasn’t a case of Shameless being hurt, but suspended for being a pig and jack wang. Last week after turning the ball over for the 10th time in three games he benched him in the fourth. Trailing by 18, Fitz brought the Bucs back to tie the game late. What does that say about the coach who was hired in large part because he was supposed to groom Winston into a star.  If you recall, three years ago Lovie Smith was fired after going 10-6 because the Bucs didn’t want to lose Dirk Diggler to another team. Three years later the team is a mess and another loss could be the end of the Boogie Nights era in Tampa.
Last but not least, Jason Garret could be gone if they do not look good Sunday. Coming off a bye and with a shiny new receiver, Jerry Jones might be getting anxious because he has a win now team in place and a decision to make on his QB.
D-day is here!
