Bozos on the Week 1 Recap
- Updated: 09/12/2019
There were definitely some exciting and interesting games the first week of the NFL season, especially since these teams virtually have no real practice or preseason anymore.
The most exciting game was the early Monday night contest when the Saints’ Will Lutz kicked a 58 yard FG with nine seconds left to beat the Texans 30-28. The Texans had just miraculously taken the lead 28-27 seconds earlier on a two play TD drive from Deshaun Watson that began with only 50 seconds remaining. A heartbreaking loss for Houston, but an incredible win for New Orleans. The Bozos used the Power of the Tease (NO-1) to escape with a victory!
Comebacks:
The Eagles came back from 17-0 down in the first half, of course being booed by the Philly unfaithful, to stave off the Redskins 32-27. A late Skins TD gave the Bozos a backdoor cover (Wash+10).
The Jets blew a 16-0 3rd quarter lead as Buffalo mounted a late comeback to capture the game in Jersey 17-16.
Arizona scored 18 4th quarter points to tie Detroit, both teams could only muster a FG on OT. Final 27-27. Bozos teased Lions to +3 ½ for the lucky win.
Roadies:
Tennessee crushed the Browns 43-13 in Cleveland to shut Baker Mayfield’s big trap for a few days and Lamar Jackson put up huge numbers as the Ravens crushed the hapless Fins in Miami 59-10.
Road wins as expected from the Rams, the 49ers, the Chiefs solidified big parlays for the Bozos.
Home cookin’
Home wins by the Pats, Vikes, Raiders, Chargers and Dallas will provide those teams with momentum going into Week 2.
